The hectic lifestyle that we all lead today has started to cost all of us dearly. The fact is, humans are not biologically tuned to the lifestyle that we are all leading today. The great level of stress that we have to go through has only been witnessed for the last 30 or 40 years. So since our bodies are not used to this, acute stress can cause harm and even lead to physical and mental problems. But relaxing music can be a solution.

How do stress relief relaxing music work

There are many theories on this. Do not be surprised if you hear someone say that relaxing music reminds the human mind of a mother’s heartbeat while in the womb. But many do not agree with this view. But on one aspect almost everyone agrees stress relief music does create a deep impact on the subconscious mind of most people and calms them down.

But the same kind of music may not have the same effect on different people. So while using relaxing music, it becomes necessary to find the type of music that will work for the individual concerned. The wrong relaxing music type may end up actually causing more harm than good. The important thing is to understand what the person likes, his preferences and then play the type of music that will work.

Some experts feel that music, slower than the natural heartbeat of a person, which is 72 beats a minute works well as relaxing music. Music with rhythms that repeat and sound monotonous also can calm the nerves.

Music can be used not only to calm a person down but also to bring him out of a lull and make him active. Faster rhythms and music with beats can effectively make a person more active while the going is slow.

How music helps you get better sleep

Music has been proven to improve a person’s life. For some, it is an outlet for their creative side. For others, it serves as a medium to express themselves. To some people, it serves as a source of their inspiration and hopes while for others, music serves as their ultimate relaxing treat. But for people who battle out things just for them to get better sleep, music definitely is their best option.

People who are having problems getting better sleep are finding ways to get that most-coveted “treat”. Some try exercises while others resort to other alternative means such as music. Why? because music itself can lull them into deep slumber when chosen properly.

The power of music

To be able to avoid the distraction brought by this simple sound, people who are having a hard time sleeping have found a way to fight it off using music. Of all the so many kinds of music out there, people especially those who are just beginning are having a hard time choosing which one would suit the practice.

If you are one of those who would want to use relaxing music as a tool to get better sleep, here are some guidelines in choosing the music that may help you achieve that purpose:

  • make sure that it doesn’t have lyrics. In choosing relaxing music that will help you get better sleep, it is always best to choose one that has no lyrics because it can only distract your concentration. If you find plain rhythm boring, try to play something that has lyrics that you don’t understand so you don’t have to think about what the song is saying. Aside from distracting your thoughts through the words you understand, music with lyrics will also encourage you to sing along which will totally shatter your concentration.
  • relaxing music with a soft rhythm is always advisable. For starters, this type of music will do you good because it will help you clear your mind and focus on something. But, if want something better, you can choose music that has a faster rhythm and beats or anything that you truly enjoy because this can no longer distract you.
  • do some experiments. Although soft and relaxing music is always advisable, try to play other types of music. Who knows? You might find better concentration of you play something that you truly enjoy.
  • try simple and soothing music that is sure to focus your attention. If you don’t have the luxury of time to experiment on types of music to be played during meditation, then try surefire hits, which are simple and soothing music. Some of these may include classical sounds, sounds from nature such as clapping of thunder, sounds of big waves, sounds of insects, and the wind. Other alternative options may also include simple instruments including Tibetan singing bowl, flute, sitar, and tamboura which are known to have meditative inducing qualities.

When choosing relaxing music that may help you get better sleep, it is very important to keep in mind that the type you should play must induce you to deep concentration and into a deep sleep. To enjoy some amazing relaxing music CLICK HERE.

Using Meditation Through Music

Clearing your mind through meditation is one of the most peaceful ways you can find to just relieve all the tension you have in your body. Once your mind and body are relaxed you can start to just enjoy some time to yourself. I know that most of us listen to the radio at some point in the day. You may enjoy music ranging from country to easy listening, to disco, soft rock, classic country, or even bluegrass.

Whatever kind of relaxing music you enjoy you can find this as a very relaxing way of meditation. For a lot of you that are in good physical shape and like to exercise in a gym at home or even by jogging, you want to be able to free your mind of a lot of things that have bothered you throughout the day. If you are out and about doing your exercises take an MP4 player or your phone with you and just put it on a station that you really like and let the music just relax all of your tension.

If you are at home exercising or even cooking or cleaning if you have a CD player get one of your favorite CDs and play it while you are doing the things you need to do. One of the things I find relaxing is listening to music while I am working on the computer.

I play my music every day when I am on the computer. I just quietly sing along to my favorite music relax and just meditate about my day. I actually use my keyboard a lot and have to do a lot of typing about different subjects. If I am not completely relaxed and my mind clear, I will make many mistakes in my work that I can’t afford to do.

I know I need to be completely relaxed, so I pull up my windows media player and play my favorite songs that will help me use mediation to get my work done. I listen to my favorite songs while working on the computer or even going somewhere in my car. After having a busy long hard day, I know I still have to drive home and start my cooking routine, helping kids with homework, bathing the kids, and getting them to bed.

As soon as I get in my car and I think about all the things I will have to do I put my CD in the player clear my mind and relax and meditate. After I get all my work done I put the kids to bed and the house is very quiet I will draw myself a hot bubble bath and listen to my music and just clear my mind and gather my thoughts so I then can start the next day with a clear head.

So whether you enjoy meditating by exercising, shopping, or listening to your favorite music you will find once you have released all of your tension you can then start to feel good about yourself, and when you feel good about yourself, you can then feel good about your life.
